90018 on 1P05

Took a trip out to Tamworth tonight for 1P05, possibly to remind why I had resolved to go to Stafford for the night shot next time. Those orange lights in the car park make for a white balance nightmare what with flourescent lights on the platform and orange lights behind the train illuminating the car park. Grrrr! Stafford it is, unless it goes into 3 (which I suspect it would). The bigger issue is the light having to get across 4 tracks to the loco and stock. That makes the car park lights dominate the shot a little. I suspect Stafford P3 may be worse due to poorer lighting.

Stafford seems to be a bit of pot luck. Last time I did it there it went down 3 (seems to have done likewise tonight) but I'm sure I've seen platform 5 on *you know what* before. I've an idea it was booked on the slows north of Stafford - that night he got the feather over from 3 to the down slow at least....
