fugly livery shunted about the lnwr shed by an 08!

unfortunately caught by surprise so camera not at the ready!!

is this a one-off or are freightliner committed to keeping the cans
going maybe even to when they are about 50?

about same age as myself!

Don't get what you are on about, but the 86/5 and 86/6s are still in daily use with Freightliner, and I am not aware of any plans to replace them.

What the OP seemed to be saying was he saw 86637 wearing its new livery.

86637 has been painted in the new Freightliner look - as currently seen on the 70s

Ah that seems to make a bit more sense now, of course if he had written "class 70 style livery" it would have been easier.

Any pictures available? I can't help but think that its gonna look bl**dy horrible, dunno why they changed the livery in the first place, i think the old green/yellow 66/57 style livery would have suited the 70's better!

Why do operators have to come up with a new livery when they get a new Loco?

Wonder whether any 66s will get it?

Surely it would be an unnecessary expense to re-paint the entire fleet?
