Well Freightliner are still flogging their 14(?) 86's so they're not completely consigned to history ..... plus the long term hire of 101 to Serco.

Note quite, wheels was one issue, there are a couple of others.

The pendolini are cramped, and the ride quality is poor - particularly in the front car, but they don't have the appalling noise and vibration of the "super" voyagers.
