Firstly, i thought i was going mad but thought i saw 73138 stabled at Tring the other day - Am i right? If so is it still there and why was it there in the first place?

It was there all day yesterday.

Yes you did see 73 138 apparently it failed the day before and was then left there for rvel to repair as it wouldn't start (according to http://www.wnxx.com/news/index.htm anyway)

cheers - might have a look to see if it is there tomorrow! Being Northern i have rarely seen a 73!

Damn - drove past Tring station yesterday and didn't know it was there.

Apparently it was very poorly 
but I don't know exactly what happened. There is some irony that it was meant to be a direct replacement for a failed loco on another working.
