70-min Flex cheaper than an Advance

I thought this was quite strange. I was under the impression that 70-min Flex tickets were always a fixed £20 uplift over the Advance ticket.

I'm not sure how this makes ticketing "simpler", let alone a "utopia".

If it's cheaper, what's the problem? In an age of price comparison sites for multiple products, I'm not convinced that people find fares confusing.

You might see it as the flex being cheaper, but I would see it as paying an extra £20 for flexibility I wouldn't need.

There should be an Advance for £20 less than that I too was under the impression that Advance and 70 min Flex fare points were linked. I've got £137.60 and £157.60 on the LNER site respectively

They are supposed to be aligned but I wonder if someone has the Advance in their basket and something isn't quite working somewhere in terms of showing that neither is available at that price point, perhaps?

I'd say somethings amiss with the NRE site, the Advance and 70 min Flex are linked so one shouldn't show without the other.

Another SilverRail problem ?
Affected TrainSplit too. It was coming straight from RARS.

It was a pretty dumb itinerary with two connecting TOCs, but easily reproducible basically every day.

I wonder if one of the connecting TOCs hasn't set up their buckets properly.

See 14:08-20:53/16:08-22:22 results in 1st:
