I recently came across this photo, http://brooksies-photos.fpic.co.uk/p26761285.html. A 7 Car Chiltern Clubman on test dating back to March this year.

My question is, was it just for testing purposes or are Chiltern planning on building on this 7 Car idea?

Wasnt this introduction of the centre coaches, as I think Chiltern are increasing their sets to 4-car?

This was an effort to save pathing costs and time, running several intermediate coaches in one go rather than individually adding a new coach to each set over a large period of time.

The units also went to Aylesbury in seven/eight car stretch mode. Presume either via East Coast and High Wycombe or cross-country to Banbury and Risboro.

if memory serves... the 168 was out on test after collecting the new centre carraiges.
