6H60 at Hope Street

I've noticed that the 6H60 from Hope Street (Salford) to Peak Forest has been recently re-timed and am wondering if this will affect it's routing into and through Manchester Victoria (and Salford Central).

I have only seen this train twice, once it ran "wrong road" through Salford Central's Westbound platform and the second time it ran via the eastbound platform. Could someone please tell me which platform it would normally run through and if this retiming will have changed that?

Is it better to catch this going through Victoria? On both previous occasions at Salford Central the train (quietly) crawled through, I'm guessing because of a speed restriction at the stone works sidings. Would Victoria be a more "Thrashtastic" location?

I also found out on Monday that 60099 worked this train, sadly the GEN was from Victoria so it was too late anyway to go but has it been working this the rest of the week?

The 6H60 runs on a Saturday as well however much earlier. The thing is I can not find the diagram for the Peak Forest - Hope Street working, any ideas what time this one gets to HS Salford?

One final question, are there any other workings in the Greater Manchester area booked as a Class 60? I am aware 60007 passed through Altrincham last week though I think that is booked as a 66.

Not that there is anything wrong with 66s, after all they still are loco's

Still runs via Victoria and Miles Platting, but please be warned
that despite the recent retiming, it is still a poor timekeeper,
usually getting away anything from 40 to 90 minutes late!

Maybe, but halfway up Miles Platting bank would be the most 'thrashtastic' of all!

That would have been the Tunstead to Northwich limestone;
doesn't run through Stockport or Manchester, though...

Was it re-timed in the first place because it could not keep to it's original booked time? I did notice it running late a few times in the past.

I agree that Miles Platting would be the best place, though it is rather difficult to get to at the minute using public transport (and walking). I will try and find a method of getting over, and probably relying on "Safety in numbers" and dragging a friend along

05:30 is a trifle too early (that's when the first bus of the day runs during the week), though if I'm out on a Friday night I may hang around....

I'll try and get the Tunstead - Northwich pass Altrincham sometime soon, am I correct in thinking this is the 6F04/6F05 and that it would pass between 4 and 5pm?
