If you know the route and get lucky with positioning at New Street so you exit directly onto the stairs you can do it under 10 minutes easily, and that is without running.

With advances on the right day maybe not as much as you'd think, though lots to go wrong and m not doing this! Maybe of for an all-line rover. Wont trip over any restrictions in it that in see.

That sounds like a good start to the day. Get a 92 and 73 in the book before moving on to the 68s.

As further up the thread and my day out last march, 92 to Edinburgh 73 to inverkeithing, 170 to where ever the 2 cats back to Edinburgh. Lner to york. A cat to leeds, the next cat to manchester. Cross country or avanti to brum new street. Chiltern cat to leamington, the next cat back to moor street. Whoever back to manchester and whichever tpe cats between there and liverpool on a lancashire day ranger ticket.....
