Does anyone know what's happening with 67021. After sitting for weeks at stonehaven it was transported south by road.

What has failed on 67021 to warrant road transport?? bogey wheel bearing?

I think it is a much more serious problem with the engine or something, from what i have been told and have read online

Read on another forum it has utterly shagged traction motors from accidentally having the reverser thrown into reverse whilst moving forward at speed.

Just about every electrical traction component on it got busted. So bad that it could well be a scrapper...

Hang on, I thought directional switches where interlocked on diesel electric and diesel locos for this reason? I guess not haha

They are, but apparently the 67's have a quirk that meant the reverser can bypass the override if pulled back fast enough, or something to that effect.
