Today, I spotted a 67 Dragging a East Coast HST through Newcastle....any ideas what it was doing and where it was going?

Today, I spotted a 67 Dragging a East Coast HST through Newcastle....any ideas what it was doing and where it was going?

Probably rescuing a failed set.

Was it an EWS 67, a silver 67 or a blue 67?

Roughly what time? A few.EC trains were late arriving mid morning/afternoon at Newcastle Central.

It was a EWS 67 and was arriving into Newcastle station at 10:15, searched on arrivals/departure board and didn't show anything.

Might have been 5F51 0715 Doncaster West Yd to Craigentinny.

If opentraintimes is to be believed there is a class 67 movement from Newcastle to Northallerton and back via the Durham Coast line. I think this is for route learning purposes.
