I only got a brief look this evening while passing, having not known that anything had happened, but to me it looked like the '66' had run into the buffers here:

It did have what looked to me like a low sided ballast wagon attached to it, but that was at the opposite end, with the 66 seemingly having run into the buffers. It appeared that the buffers were pushed back and the rails lifted up underneath them, leaving the bogie on the non wagon end of the 66 riding up the rails.
As I say, I only got a brief look, so apologies if my account is inaccurate. I was just looking out of the window when the 66 briefly caught my eye!
