60014 at Toton

On Monday, I shall be driving down the M1 at my own time, so I have an opportunity to slip off the motorway for a little while, and try to see my last "60" at Toton. So, is 60014 visible from anywhere? And, if so, how do I get there (full directions needed - I am not familiar with the area at all)?

According to my notes then 60014 is in a line of engines that you can see from the bank. Of the two lines of engines then this is the line that is further away from the A52. However on my visits in June you could not actually see the number as it was hidden by scrap wagons. Subsequent visits also proved pointless as it remained hidden. There are, i think, four loco's that you cannot identify in this line.

Go on WNXX and look for a thread on class 60 storage locations, theres a fella on there that often updates the locations of all the locos stored at toton, i found his notes very usefull when i did the same thing your going to do.

What i personnally did was to take as many photo's as possible (and numbers) and then cross reference them to his posts on wnxx, his notes are accurate and you'll find the numbers he list and the locations should match up with the photos you take.... worked for me
