Do you have to wait 6 months before applying for any type of role within First Group at Gwr or Swr, such as conductor, customer service, dispatcher, if you miss out on getting a job applied for at Swr? I failed at interview stage.

No, the six month rule applies to similar roles at the same TOC.

SWR and GWR are separate TOCs and therefore the six month ban doesn't apply to the other (despite them both being owned by First Group, at least in part).
