6 Months after sitting Psychometric tests

Hi Im a little unsure where I stand regarding the 6 month period you have to wait after applying for a TOC/FOC.
I was part of the Freightliner potential trainees and passed to National Standard which meant I was out of the running for FL.
I'm under the impression that I have to wait another 6 months if I intend to re-apply to Freightliner but that I can apply to any other TOC/FOC should a vacancy come up.

Can anyone tell me if I'm correct?

Yeah Im thinking your right, that I can apply to any company taking National Standard but any requiring Enhanced would be a 6 month wait.
I'll find out soon enough anyway as I've applied for EMT and they'll soon let me know if Im outside the entry requirements I think.

You can apply to any company requiring the national standard, but would have to wait 6-months for any TOC or FOC who use the enhanced standard. Generally speaking, if you went on to pass the enhanced assesment after the 6-months then weren’t offered a job, or indeed if you just went for a job now at the national standard but weren’t offered a position, you’d also have to wait 6-months to apply to the same TOC/FOC again.

Good luck with EMT! I ‘think’ they may use the national standard. I work for what was their sister company and we only use the national standard. Could be wrong, but good luck nonetheless!

I never actually got my results, does anyone know how long they’re held for after you’ve started? Would be interested to know how I did. I assume I was ok as they offered me a job but I’m just curious.

It depends on the TOC/FOC but ranges from 1 to 5 years generally. Since you got the job, it’s nit applicable to you now anyway

Companies can accept results for upto five years not all companies require to have the enhanced pass mark.So I would just apply for all jobs apart from the one you applied for obviously lol.They soon can check if your results are good enough.

It varies. Enhanced standard has nothing to do with how long the results are current for, that’s down to the operator.
