Hi everyone,

Does anyone know when TOCs say ‘if you have applied within the last 6 months your application will not be accepted’ what classes as the 6 month period? As you know the process can be pretty lengthy.

Last driver job I applied for I applied 19th July, had stage 1 assessment 29th Aug 18 so this is out of the 6 month window (tomorrow), but I got told my application would not be progressed on 10th September which is only 5 and half month!

Hi,

I'd be of the view that as you failed your stage 1 assessment on 29 August 2018, that's the date which the six month period would/should run from.

My recommendation is apply anyway and hope that you get through the sift. No harm in trying!

And start practising early for those tests! (You probably know which you failed on, and most frequently it's the GBT, so you should know what to focus on!)

Good luck with your application! :)

I found that in the early days of practising, it was good to do it on the computerised tool. However, on the day, it will be on paper and once I had got my speed and accuracy up a bit, I started printing them out and doing them on paper, which i think was very helpful. That's what I'd recommend!

You're welcome! And good luck! :)
