6 class 37’s and an A4 at Chesterfield

[BR Traction]

Just in case anyone is interested, the Chesterfield area yesterday was an interesting place to be. At 11.17, class 37’s no. 37219, 37424 and 97302 in convoy working Barrow Hill Colas Rail to Derby R.T.C. Shortly after at 11.34, class 37 no. 37508 dragging 58023, Caroline and 37418 from Doncaster works to Leicester L.I.P. Then at 11.42, class 37 no. 37512 dragging a FGW hst from Doncaster works to Ely Papworth sidings. Then finally at 12.18 A4 no. 60007 from Doncaster works to Crewe. Amongst all this, class 66’s on the usual freight and a class 69 being dragged southbound by a class 66. Not bad in just 1 hour.

Yes a good haul in such a short time.
Derby can be good on Mondays too with traction coming out of the RTC going to various destinations for the weeks work usually 37's.
