So this must be one of the workings simply to "power up" the 379s in order to get some "juice" through them !
How often do these trips run and is the "power up" done in the works or elsewhere ?
Thanks for the info !

A little further research on RTT shows that 5Q22 ran direct from Worksop Up Yard to Doncaster Royal Mail Terminal via the Freight Only Line past Maltby Colliery and comes into Doncaster at the South End right by the Royal Mail Terminal. I wonder if there are any photographs posted anywhere of these trains traversing this route, which sees very little traffic nowadays. This would also seem to answer my question as to where the "power up" takes place, which I think must be in the Royal Mail Terminal platform which is mainly used by GBRf for stabling now, but of course is wired. As the units arrived there on the 11th and are due to go back today (13th) it would seem that the "power up" could well be an all day (or longer) event which would give the units plenty of time to warm up and become properly "live".
