This is the ECS movement back to depot after the 1803 King's Cross-Skipton service.

Does anyone know why it sits in Leeds station for 38 minutes mid-journey?

Does it not need the catering re-stocking for the following morning's journey? I believe it operates the 05.07 from Doncaster to London.

I did wonder about cleaning but then presumed that would be done at the depot.

But not sure EC have cleaners there. It's the only unit berthed there overnight.
Certainly catering supplies are routinely loaded at Leeds.

My first post. Greetings to all.

This train has been running ecs from Skipton to Doncaster for a few weeks.
I wonder if the time spent in Leeds is awaiting a Doncaster driver?
Interestingly it runs to the Doncaster Carr IEP depot and is there overnight.
Presumably it is serviced there instead of Neville Hill as previously.
In previous weeks it returned ecs to Leeds around 0600 but not this week when it appears to move to Doncaster station as 5A00 about 0430.
Does anyone know why it is going to the IEP depot? - the ecs off the Skipton is a Cl 91 and Mk 4 set.

On a train...somewhere!
This ECS does get cleaned at Leeds due to there currently being no cleaners at the IEP depot. This set runs to Doncaster in order to provide a set for 1A00 which has started from Doncaster vice Newark since the December TT change. Previously this set ran ECS from Bounds Green (via Kings X) in the early hours to start at Newark. The set ex-1N36 stables at York overnight then runs to Doncaster station early doors for 1S02, which used to come empties from Leeds.
