58047 left Eastleigh for SWTs Northam depot for tyre turning this morning behind a 66 forming 0B33.

i heard rumours that the DB/EWS are planning on sending the 58s abroad

EWS already have some 'GIF' branded 37s and 58s in Spain to help with the building of an express std guage main line there. (remember the guage in Spain is usually 6ft as opposed to the standard 4' 8.5")

Ah yes - my Dad's window at work overlooks the line and he sent me an email about those. Wondered where they were off to :)
