57601 status?

Hey all,

Just wondered the current status of 57601. I know it is a working loco, but just wondered if it was out of traffic for repairs or anything...? I ask as its one of the locos hauling a tour I'm on the 7th April, and it would be nice for it to get broke, so it can be replaced with more attractive traction! :razz:

Say it was out of service, what would WCRC do if it was booked - replace it with another loco (33/37/47?), or just not replace it and run it with no tail loco?

Any ideas?

Nein they stopped using it after they ridded themselves of loco-hauled day stock. Along with the 47/8s they had (yay!)

It's now owned by WCRC and can usually be found top-n-tailing with 47854 (they love each other see, getting married next month )

I enjoyed a quick wash an spin dry cycle to Cheltenham behind 57601 on the last day of the Cheltenham races; http://dennis-lance.fotopic.net/p39469301.html for the cabbage platform shot. My first bit of GM haulage! Was T&T with 47826; cheating on 854 :lovestor: .

47826 seems to like a bit 'o both... Was with 47854 on the Carnforth - Windsor tour. Unless, that was a forced combo.

Passed there en route from Brigdnorth - Bristol on a charter with 7802.
