Hi just asking were do vermin keep there thunderbird loco,s as i was at glasgow central on saturday and i expected one there but no??:-?
I know there is one at euston but no idea about the rest can you help please?
Think there's one at Wembley rather than London Euston.
There was one at Wolverton I think as I sped through on a Pendolino last weekm it was getting dark and I wasn't really paying attention. It could have been Milton Keynes.
Crewe, Preston and Carlisle all get a Thuderbird, think Rugby did but doesn't at the moment because of the old bay platforms being worked on.
There's usally one at Birmingham New Street, and always at least one at Longsight. Can often find one at Central Rivers too, and the place near Liverpool, Edge Hill or something? I forget
Cheers for that
I was in london last year and there was one at euston but the pendo's wernt running into euston that day that prob explains why it was there!!
What happens if one goes bang near glasgow then? does one come from carlisle i thought they would have one at polmadie at least
Oxley (wolves) & Crewe normally have vermin bodysnatchers on standby. The rugby 57 sometimes comes from Oxley as well, mate is a vermin driver & gets that turn, light to rugby & standby. Well last time I saw him he did, must give him a call.
thx all next question ?????
57/6's where are they mon-fri ? i persume laira,old oak and penzance
Sorry about silly questions but not done the hobby full time for 10-15yrs
Through the day, 2 will be at Old Oak Common and 1 at Penzance Long Rock at the moment. They are using three as one is in Kilmarnock being painted, and when that one is done, the next will go up if you see what I mean.
When they have all 4, I believe the 4th sits at Laira as a thunderbird.
The one at Laira usually sits outside on one of the spurs outside the main shed. You can't see it from Embankment Road, next to the HST sidings, but you can see it when your on the bridge over the railway, heading towards Marsh Mills.
