I was told that 57005 & 6 (ex Advenza) may be going to WCRC, while somebody else mentioned 57001.

57001 is definitely i think the other two at moment are just rumours

57001 was at leeds midland road and just got transfered oto barrow hill

I wouldn't be surprised if 57005 is rusted to the tracks down at Cardiff Central by now...

No - neither of the locos were assets of either Cotswold Rail Engineering Ltd or Advenza Freight Ltd.

57005 is to finally be picked up tomorrow by a Carnforth based loco with a path to Gloucester Horton Road. I presume to pick up 47237 and then onwards to Carnforth...

Well they already have non-ETH 47245 and 47270 on their books and they use them with ETH fitted locos if necessary, so I would've thought they'd use them without modification.

isnt it in a bad way having sat there for a year. Frost damage at leastive heard

Must say I was surprised it was been moved by rail myself.

I believe 47500 and 57601 were the locos allocated to the job.

Reuben was at Central for this mate,
they arrived very early around half 12 he told me, parked by the signal box, 66 431 then ran light to canton to open the siding, then 47 500 & 57 601 made their move to couple up and left around 10 early i think,

but I wasn't there ;P
lets see if DRS put something decent on the scrap now

The collection of 57005 is on Youtube now - type in - Class 47, 57 & 66 at Cardiff. The DRS 66 had to be moved from where it was parked - next to 57005!
