Of course, my original plan was the Langstone Rock shot but the weather gods fouled that one up!

Saturday evening was gloriously sunny, and I thought Mill Lane at Walsall would be on for a couple of 66 workings that were due. First time location for me!

And then Monday, work interfered big time! Managed 70005 at Water Orton foot crossing which thankfully ran early otherwise that would have been the world's unluckiest cloud bowlout - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p65028027.html

My work took me to Chesterfield - outrageous backlighting but no way could I miss a Deltic on blue/grey stock - http://www.ferret.fotopic.net/p65028028.html

I then fancied reviewing via Leicester but bailed off at Loughborough with the intention of getting the 37s on a return test train from Old Dalby. Of course, out of nowhere a small cloud came and covered the sun, mushrooming into an absolute behemoth which destroyed the light completely so all I had to show for my walk was a couple of EMT HSTs:
