At Leicester Depot, the siding closest to the main line is known as the "Power Box Road" - the actual power box is on the right of this shot with some locos in the "power box road" to the left.

Going back a few years, this siding was regularly used to recess freight trains, such as the Ketton Cement seen here in 2014:

This 1980s view makes for an interesting comparison:

The Power Box Road was convenient for stabling southbound trains; anything arriving into it from the south ends up with the loco trapped at the buffer stops (although I think they can propel out and continue north). That 4M28 schedule runs via Peterborough and arrives from the north. On the other side of the line, there's a couple of through sidings at Leicester Humberstone Road, plus a dead end siding there (buffer stop at the south end) called "5 top" that can also be used for stabling trains.
Not related to these paths, but Humberstone Road has been used for aggregate deliveries (recycled ballast) by DCR - the picture on the website below shows a train being offloaded in "5 top" siding:

There are also WTT paths for a 6L18 08:45 Leicester Power Box Road - Parkeston, and 4M36 15:20 Parkeston - Humberstone Road. Leicester might be on the schedules as a place to recess aggregate trains which would be loaded elsewhere (e.g. Stud Farm, Mountsorrel, Bardon Hill), or like the post above suggests, might just be somewhere convenient to show them terminating until the actual destinations are known. I didn't know anything about the Sizewell project until reading the post above - for anyone interested, the associated freight paths and planning are now being discussed in this thread:
