47s at Royston today

Wandered past Royston today (about 1pm) to see two 47s in the station working light, Cotswold silver 47810 "Captain Sensible" and Advenza liveried 47237 or 47375 (not sure which) which burbled off southbound before I could get a photo I'm afraid...

Any reason why? There seemed to be some orange vests and network rail vehicles around too. They likely to be around again?

Going by this photo on fotopic, 47375 and 47810 were working a Norwich - East Ham movement.

I thought DRS only had four ex Blue Pullman coaches, the four which Victa Westlink got after the collapse of FMRail. The remaining eight coaches went to Cotswold Rail .

The Blue Pullman coaching stock and the Blue Pullman operation became two entirely different things following the FM Rail collapse.

The Blue Pullman coaching stock is currently sat at East Ham owned by the Blue Pullman Train Company (another of the Cotswold group of companies).

The Blue Pullman operation is no more after Stobart pulled the plug. Hertfordshire Railtours (the original promoter of the Blue Pullman under FM Rail) became Stobart Rail after their acquisition of the charter side of Victa.

The DRS stock you are on about was purchased outright from Porterbrook, never had anything to do with the original Blue Pullman.

The two (3385/9513) coaches not purchased by BPTC are currently in store at Oxley.

Was definitely 810 but was trailing and IIRC not under power

Can confirm these two were on it as it passed through Welwyn Southbound on the main around 1327.

As for the reason why they went to East Ham no idea, the rumours i've heard is the ex BP stock is'nt going anywhere as Cotswold Rail have'nt paid their storage bills for the set!
