47715 is up and about at Wensleydale Railway. It performed its first run last Friday on a chartered train and despite technical faults it made it home under its owne power. The loco will be operational soon and will star in the September diesel gala with more info soon:grin:

47715 Hauled the 5Z47 Leeming Bar - Constable Burton ECS move last night before running LE to Bedale Loop to collect an engineers set. These wagons were taken to Leeming for repair. The locomotive ran without a hitch and it was a great evening for all involved! Isn't it great to see '715 up and about again?

If you want a ride behing 47715 then you have the opportunity today. The DMU is currently unservicable after an incident on Friday. '715 is hauling 2 coaches on the full diagram leaving Leeming 10.50, 12.50 & 14.50. Weekday arrangements have not yet been confirmed so watch www.wensleydalerailway.com for further details. It looks as if '715 could be a long term replacement as driver training is ongoing.

What about the other DMU? Are all 5 power cars (ie both the 101 and 110 sets and the spare 108 car) now out of service?

No available traction at the moment and damage is sufficent to keep the set out of traffic for some time. No details on weekday running as yet but should be some more on the website soon. See the photo of '715 at Leeming Bar before forming the late running 14.50 to Redmire on Saturday.

Just found this on preserved diesels

Well we managed a full diagram (97 miles) today with no big issues. Reverser still not 100% but we can manage. Looking like the loco will be working on Monday and Tuesday all being well.
Make the most of it if you can as it's not going to be very often we can run full timetable days.
