Some members of this forum may not be aware that 47375 was exported from the UK to Hungary some years ago and is still active on the main line working out of Budapest. The weekend of 8/9 June 2024 saw the loco hired to work a railtour, organised by the Brush Type 4 Fund, owners of 47105 and 47376 at the Gloucestershire-Warwickshire Railway. Here are a few shots from what was considered by those on board to be a very successful and well-organised trip.

Why is that UK - KR on the front in any event? We've changed to UK for cars, but as far as I was aware, we're still GB for European Vehicle Numbers.
It used to be UK-CRSHU, which is also wrong, but for some reason KR have kept the incorrect text, despite it of course actually being registered as GB-KR.

Not anymore. They sold it on a few years ago to Komplex Rail.

Indeed, which was interesting as I'm not sure CRS actually owned it...

I was there too, it was an excellent trip.

Nice photos, too!

Cheers!

May 16-18 2025 is the rumoured date for next year's tour...

I'm curious to know what the magazine is in the 3rd picture on the secondman's side... It has an I/C liveried 47 on it...!!!

It's a label for the tour, it's likely a pic of 47375 in an earlier life.

Unlikely to be 47375 as this has no train heating facilities fitted and was primarily a freight loco
Maybe some other sort of promotional material for the Brush Type 4 Fund then.

In IC livery? hardly.

I believe the photo was of 47555 which according to a long-running 'joke' amongst non-47 fans used to appear all over the country on passenger trains so frequently that there must have been more than one 47555 just to 'bowl people out' who followed other classes.

Is it a photo of one of the many 47555’s in intercity exec livery?

Indeed. Along with the quote 'Resistance is Futile'.

A week later would be better, so that participants would have the chance to go on to the other major Eastern European tour for 2025, Bulgaria - May 24-28 - see https://enthusiasthols.com/tour/bulgaria-late-spring-2025/ - with charters with ex-BR Class 87 and 86 electrics, the latter celebrating their 60th anniversary!
