Whilst reading the new edition of Railways Illustrated I read that in January 1978 47256 received an odd all over green repaint. This was carried out by Cardiff Canton and was apparently due to fire damage. It was only short lived as in May it went through Crewe works and emerged in blue.

Can anyone provide any further details on this repaint?

I don't suppose there are any pictures of the loco in this guise?
