Ouch looks nasty, a Black 5 as well bit harder to sort out. They'll be lookin at 45110 a bit then.

Black 5s are pretty simple engines to fix, there standard and common so getting parts made is easier than say replacing the chain in an unrebuilt bullied pacific

By the looks of it, it has primed and blown the cylinder cover off, shouldnt be out for to long, replace the studs and make a new cover. and bobs ur uncle!

Looks like a blown off Cylinder cover and big money job to fix. That's the steam equivalent of a Leg ooot of bed

Yup im sure, its blown the cover off, it shouldnt have damaged the piston in anyway, i cant see it being out for long, i have heard of it happening in 5" nearly the same replace the studs and make a new cover! We shall see but thats my verdict

Its not quite the same as a leg out of the bed coz in theory it shouldnt have damaged the piston its self in anyway
