45231 struggles up Shap with the ECS Carnforth to Fort William 9/5/14.

LMS 45231 The Sherwood Forester ran a ECS with the freshly painted coach stock to Fort William from Carnforth over Shap in readiness for the 2014 Jacobite season . The Jacobite season starts on Monday the 12th of May . 45231 is seen near Shap summit sounding very off beat and shortly after the 5 pulled into the loop . The support crew told me that Gordon Hodgson had returned to Carnforth for a class 37 to drag the train back to Carnforth but realtime trains showed the train still moving even though some of the stock was still in the loop at the Summit .
