45039 Manchester Regiment (??)

[Masbroughlad]

Would there be a log anywhere of all the movements this loco made in its lifetime?

Or would such records be non - existent in the 70s and 80s?

Curious!

BR used to keep very accurate mileage records of all the motive power in that era which in turn implies that a log will exist somewhere... if it survived, I'm guessing it would be in the NRM's archives.

Unlike Class 37 (see http://www.c37lg.co.uk/history.aspx ) and Class 55 ( http://www.napier-chronicles.co.uk/ ), I don't think anyone has tackled 'Peaks' when it comes to past workings. However, you may find details of some workings on the 80s Timewarp website, which is now defunct but can still be picked up by the wayback machine internet archive at https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.timewarp.abelgratis.com
