It's featuring on Intercity's "The Western Wanderer" rail tour on 25 August 2025.

We may be seeing a pattern emerging here, recommend you keep an eye out for future tours on Intercity's website, or on Rail tour info, Railway Herald or Rail Advent websites

That was last weekend, today Saturday 2nd it's at the Greatest Gathering. YouTube videos showing 45118 seemed to be running well , whether anything untoward happened after Dawlish on the way back l don't know.

There was supposed to a fuel tanker provided to refuel 45118 at Churston ,it failed to turn up. The driver on 45118 had to be careful with conservation of fuel ,hence the use of the class 47 to assist up whiteball, filton and lickey banks. There were only 200 gallons when he looked whilst we were stopped in Haresfield loop, but we did get back to Derby.

It would be helpful to say what sort of loco is being discussed on a thread like this. I did correctly assume it was a Peak diesel loco but I believe there are LMS steam locos with similar numbers. The 200 gallons mentioned gave it away in the end.

Yes LSL driver's never seem to be hanging about, but they are an experienced crew and are in full control of their steed .

I always get confused when people mention 60007 here and in the gen groups! Momentarily get excited before twigging that they’re on about a kettle.
