Can anyone tell me if any 442 (Wessex) run on Saturdays?

with GatEx is assume you mean? No I dont think so

No booked work on a Saturday, but if your lucky you may get one on a GEx diagram if a 460 has failed...! But you have to be very lucky though

Digressing slightly, I read an enlightening post on UKmodermEMU explaining that the current power restrictions on the BML (currently affecting AC-motored units a la 377) may well have been a driving force behind the introduction of (DC-motored) 442s for the extended GEx services.

no i said foreign students, i cant seem to find what im looking for at the moment, but im 100% sure there is a non timetabled saturday service to take the hoard of foreign students to the seaside.

The Eastbourne student service is formed of 377s, the Eastbourne 442s use London Bridge and not London Victoria.

The 442s to Eastbourne SSuX are for commuters (who may or may not be with computers but if they are, there'll be no Wifi for them).

Being advised that the foreign only students only service is to start from tomorrow morning and booked for 2 X 442 units.

This will run every Saturday until Saturday 5 September.
