Saw the above unit at Haymarket last night, on the rear of the 20:42 to Aberdeen.

It's painted/ vinyl'd (is that a word? haha) in the similar scheme to their class 91's and to be honest, I thought it looked bloody awful.

Why was this one done in this scheme, and is it the only one of the EC class 43 units with this colour scheme?

43000 and 308 and the other ones I am aware of done.

The rest of them still carry their redundant NXEC livery minus the logos. The rest will eventually be painted like this.

That wasn't the question. that it carries East Coast livery was never in doubt, I was asking why it had it's livery in the same silver and pink as the East Coast class 91's and not like the rest of the class 43's that East Coast run.

Yes they will, and it will also be carried by the next franchise holder

Because thats the new livery, some things we have to put up with, you don't like the EC livery on HSTs and some of don't like pacers and voyagers
