I was transferring everything from my 2014 spotter's guide to my 2015 guide when I noticed that East Coast HST trailer no. 40805 seems to have no owner anymore. Has it been removed from service?

I think it is still at Craigentinny, and was last used on EC64 whilst 40734, I think that's the correct number, was getting the necessary mods for the East Coast catering carts and ovens etc, when that was returned the vehicle was stood down, and if I remember correctly there are 16 HST catering vehicles more than enough spares to cover any that require maintence, HOWEVER that may change as East Coast / Virgin are hiring a EMT hst set long term to cover for the refurbishment of the current ECML fleet so it may be resurrected.

Not sure if it is leased differently may be on a pay as you use lease

I think it is 40732 that's the catering vehicle on EC64

40805 is still at Craigentinny and will continue to be at Craigentinny for the forseeable future. Its basically a Christmas Tree.

May need to be resurected due to the introduction of EC65 EMT catering vehicles not fitted to use the carts that EC/virgin will use

Highly doubt it for the next year or so. All briefs made up and amendments being made for catering.

In an way, if it's that underused I'm surprised 40805 hasn't been signed by FGW as they have the rest of the 408XX series TRFBs (40801-40804, 40806-40811).
