would a 4 tone horn be considdered as High Low Low Low or would that still be a 2 tone horn as the class 377 only has 2 tones

Generally in the spotting community a "tone" is referred to one blast on the horn of any tone. A "4 tone" usually refers to 4 blasts of the horn irrespective of which particular tone(s) are used.

Most stock only has 2 tones, a high and a low, however some also have soft versions of each tone too.
