Hello

I noticed today that Great Northern 387s now have a moquette of lots of very thin vertical teal lines on darker turquoise, rather than the original Southern moquette of thicker horizontal teal lines on the same turquoise.

Does anyone know when this was changed, and why?

Thanks

Edit - Oh! I’ve just realised it’s the first class moquette. Never mind

Shows how different First is from Standard on these type of services!
Quite.
The video I was watching, a ride on a newly transferred 387 out of Littlehampton, showed no antimacassars which is most likely the source of my confusion. I wonder why?

Other than to maybe guarantee a seat, I really don't get why anyone would pay for 1st class on Thameslink/Great Northern/Southern etc.

Thameslink especially, given 1st is free at the back of the train!

Yes but Southern do have first class even if it’s arguably not worth it, so I’m wondering why the antimacs have gone.

Probably has been stolen or Southern have run out of 'Southern' branded ones to replace the 'Great Northern' branded ones (assuming they were branded and not plain)

They were plain (same as on the class 700)

One of the newly-transferred 387s being used on the coast have the Thameslink-style ones in use still. It is likely that the Southern depots simply do not have this style in stock.
