380s to Edinburgh

Can any kind soul give me details of what 380s work into Edinburgh please.

A small batch of 380/1s (103-106 or 108, someone should be able to confirm) work the Glasgow to Edinburgh via Carstairs services, as well as the North Berwick services. Don't ask me why not all 380s can do it, I've no gen there.

380 101- 108 are able to work through to Edinburgh and beyond to North Berwick. These units are fitted with both GSM-R and NRN cab radios, the latter being necessary for running east of Edinburgh Waverley.

Before the 322s moved south, they used to do it but as far as I know, yes it's all 380/1s and nothing else.

Ahh so it's 101-108 that can do it, must have mis-read my NREA earlier (not difficult as I was doing 3 things at once!), must remember it's the case so I know not to look for them on a Daytripper!

Diesels do turn up from time to time but none are booked AFAIK.

Last time I was up there I had 156434.

I had a cream and maroon 170 for my last trip to North Berwick.

2Y28 1841½ Haymarket to North Berwick and the return journey 2Y03 1927 North Berwick to Edinburgh are booked for 170s. This took me by surprise when I was on it last year and I spoke to the conductor. Said 170 works a service from Edinburgh to Cowdenbeath then goes empty from there to Haymarket to start its NBW run.

A few services via Carstairs are booked for 156s, mainly on Saturdays. 1C54 0948 Glasgow Central to Edinburgh (Saturday only) is one such example.
