RTT shows that two 37s (601 and 419 I understand) ran 0Z20 1515 Stowmarket D.G.L. to Tonbridge Engineers Siding on Friday afternoon, followed by 0Z21 1419 Tonbridge Engineers Siding to Fairwater Yard yesterday afternoon. What was the reason for their visit?

Given that 601 was sold to ROG/Europhoenix in 2017, I would be surprised to see it working with 419, which remains with DRS.

37601 was definitely working with 37419 when I saw it yesterday. Presumably 37601 is on hire to DRS at the moment.

To do a snowplough test run.
This was my first thought, as I know Fairwater yard is a base for snowploughs, but I didn't know for sure and also didn't think till now that snowplough trains would go all the way to Tonbridge and Stowmarket, and back.

The 37s were light engine from Tonbridge to Fairwater Yard, so I think they must have done a run to test the Tonbridge snow plough, then gone to Fairwater Yard to test that snow plough, rather than taking a snow plough with them.

Thanks to everyone who has added to this thread. Looking at RTT again, there was a working 7Z20 2123 Tonbridge Engineers Siding to Tonbridge Engineers Siding reversing at Ashford International on Friday evening. The use of a 7Z.. headcode stands out from the 3S.. and 8Y.. headcodes used for what look like RHTT trains.
