378s To Start Testing

Have received info regarding 378001 that it was due to start nocturnal testing on the East Grinstead branch this friday (31st of October). Moved from shoeburyness thursday apparently as 5O78 10.50 ex to stewarts lane. Sorry for late posting, didn't get email until this morning - may be of use to someone!

Once they get clearance they are doing milage accumulation up and down the WCML to Milton Keynes.

378001 was hauled by 66731 from Stewarts Lane to East Grinstead on 31st Oct. It is sat in the headshunt which is situated adjacent to Sainsburys car park and the site where the Bluebell Railway's run round loop and platform will be constructed. See here for a photo.

AFAIK, no testing has yet been carried out on the East Grinstead line yet, if there has, there's been no reports of any testing taking place.

Yes, top left hand window but isn't clear in photos when it's not turned on.

I see it's been conveniently parked to cover the pantograph well with branches off the tree! :lol:
