Heads up for anyone wanting an unusual photograph; I've just seen 377 614 at Clapham Junction on a service to Ore.

The subclasses 377/6s and 377/7s are not booked on anything outside of the London Metro services. So this is quite a rare working. It does happen once every couple months. I had one on an Ore service in March this year and one on an Eastbourne service in May this year. But it is still a rare unusual occurrence.

Aren’t those services now fully allocated 387s now anyway?

No it is still a mix of 377s and 387s used. The amount of 387s has massively increased and they now run the majority but there are still some 377s booked on some London Victoria to Eastbourne or Hastings or Ore services. So both classes are still used.
