Hello all,
Been flicking through my rail guide (2010 version) and I have a couple of queries.
It says the 377162 is/was out of action due to collison damage. Does anyone know what this collison was? Has/will it return to service?
Also 377201, 203 and 204 are allocated to Brighton whereas all other 2xx's are at up at Selhurst, why was this the case?
Cheers for any help :D

Yeah that was a Swt 455. I must say I'm intriguied by it as I can't find anything to do with a 377 collision.

Other than a minor derailment at Bognor a few years back (think it was a 377), cant think of any other collisions.

The other /2's might be down here due to a shortage of other 4 car units (quite a bit of 3 cars instead of 4 cars recently), others at Selhurst for the MKC - ECR service.

A minor derailment at Bognor Regis a couple of weeks ago wouldn't quite make the 2010 edition

I *think* I was on 377162 in December on an 8-coach Victoria-Brighton with a /4. It was definitely 162 or 163.

That would explain the bright yellow end this unit has. Saw it at ECR the other day and one end is day-glo yellow rather than the standard yellow.

There was also a collision with a cow at Normans bay a fair while back which ripped off the front of the unit (and didn't do the cow much good either)! Can't remember the unit number
