377 411 - Lingfield

It looks like 377 411 had a run-in with a tree this morning at Lingfield. Looking at the pictures, the area around the coupler on one of the DMOC coaches has been damaged. I'd imagine this unit is now at Selhurst Depot!

i berthed my 377/6 behind it at selhurst depot on saturday at selhurst "new sidings". A lot of damage to the front skirting... and coupler.

Led to unusual situation of trains reversing (south to north) at Lingfield for a few hours. I've never known that happen before, and I'm not sure the crossover there is signalled?

It is worked from a ground frame adjacent to the points. There is no reversible signalling from Lingfield Platform 2. You would in all probability have to have a competent person permanently on site to operate the ground frame during disruption that requires its use.

I can imagine! Looking at the photos, it looks like the folks at Selhurst have quite a job on their hands to get this unit back into service.
