I am aware that 375/377 first class isn't anything special, but I'm wondering if anyone has any pictures of the FC section on 375/9s?

If tried google and flickr...

Are Southeastern 375s all of the connex spec type? If so they have a very comfortable EMU fleet!

SN versus SE
They may be the 'same seats' but believe me that green (Astro tutf) stuff isnt anywhere near as comfy as the connex spec stuff.. the asyto turf appears to wear more than the connex stuff too.

Wait a second, doesn't it even have a door?!

It has different coloured seats, and a small headrest covering saying "First Class". I personally think it is the biggest rip off of First Class offerings on the modern railway.

As has been said a million times, the first class area on 375/7s is so commuters who are willing to pay extra are more or less guaranteed a seat, and nothing more.

Could you please show me the million times? (Or maybe some official documentation to support that ;) )

Take a look at the First Class thread made by strange6. We're talking about similar issues there.

Apologies, haven't seen that thread. However, even if it is purely to give pax a better chance at getting a seat, surely some extras should be provided beyond different colour seats?

One quirk of SE is that 375/3s have just 3 carriages (as their name might suggest). The first class section is located at only one end of each train.

I am happy to confirm that the non-first class end has an identical section, for use of standard class ticket holders. Complete with identical rather restricted leg room in the "airline" style seats.

No judgement made, other than that I wouldnt pay extra for it, even if it increases the chance of a seat!

I think you may get a free hot drink on services with a trolley. You certainly do on long distance morning peak SWT services.
