37419 failed

37419 has failed on the climb north to Beattock whilst working the 6S51 Carlisle-Mossend job due to loss of coolant and overheating as a result. 66420 has/is to provide assistance into the loop where a DBS engine will haul the failed noseped forward. The 1S49 Euston-Glasgow Pendo is stuck behind it.

What a shambles. DBS really do need to get a grip with their small fleet of 37s and give them some proper attention rather than paint them in a pretty colour, get them working and hope for the best! :roll:

I had hoped that the repainting was an indication that their care may be improved but perhaps not. Looks like the failure left a right mess in terms of back logged trains behind it, Virgin being the biggest 'victim'.
