Hi, First post here, so I don't know if this should be on Special Workings, Permanent Way, or elsewhere.
Anyway, my garden backs onto the Kyle Line, and it can be quite boring 158 after 158 going past. Yesterday was a bit different when 37401 went up by itself to clear a couple of drifts. It returned at around 18:15, on time for the evening train to Kyle to make its way up at 18:26.
It is now very rare for a 37 to go past as the royal scotsman is 47 operated now. So to hear the 37 going up the Raven Rock(steepest gradient in UK) to Garve, it makes some racket. Even louder when it has a full rake of coaches or wagons.
