Can someone tell me why 37214 has been painted in BR blue and renumbered 37309 please

To simply put it, tidy it up a bit. It won’t be coming back as it is a source of spares for 37261 / 025 and was looking rather scruffy in its former WCRC maroon.

Ex BR 37214 future?
I found this excellent video of a Class 37, 37124, being lifted in the Bo'ness and Kinneil heritage Railway diesel sheds. It got me thinking; Before seeing this video, I've always walked past 37124 (she had been residing in the fiddleyard reserved for locos and rolling stock considered scrap)...
