Evenin' all,

I hope this is the best place to post this as I'm a newbie and not quite familar with where steam stuff goes...

Just a quick Q... Clan Line is coming through Bath a week tomorrow and I'm trying to work out the best place to get a good shot.

Unfortunately it'll be dark when on the way back from Brizzle so perhaps the best place to be would be Bath Spa station?

On the way out, I could go to Oldfield Park station (near where I live so easy to go to)? Or Sydney gardens which is track side but she'll be slowing to pull into the station? Or try and go out to towards Newton St Loe?

When Tangmere or Oliver Cromwell have come through Bath before, I've always just popped round the corner to Oldfield Park station...

Any tips?

Not sure what your mobility / transport situation is.

If you want to stay close to Bath, regrettably I don't know the area; but the Sydney Gardens environs would seem to make for a good composition, even if "Clan Line" is coasting for arrival into Bath.

If you're prepared to travel, I'm looking at Google Satellite and also some published photos; and, for the time of morning, I'd wager being on the canal toe-path immediately to the south of Bedwyn station. A lovely spot with foreground interest too.

Hope that helps.
