35028 Clan Line- hiding in Sheffield

35028 Clan Line arrived in Sheffield on Wednesday- I thought it might be to do with the 100 years of stainless steel/Harry Brearley celebrations at SMACC.
The conference is over and its still pootling about today.
Why is it here? What is it doing? When is it leaving?

A quick search has revealled this from the website for Clan Line

Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation society said:
Clan Line left Stewarts Lane this morning Wednesday 12th June 2013 heading north to take part in celebrating the Centenary of the Invention of Stainless Steel at the Outokumpu Steel Works Tinsley Yard.

The current schedule is as follows -

Clan Line will be shunting steel wagons between the Upper head shunt and Tinsley Yard Exchange Siding on each of the days. This may involve between 8 and 12 trips per day hauling a load of 400 tons.

Thursday – 13th June (Corporate Day)

Friday – 14th June (Schools Day)

Saturday – 15th June (Steel Workers’ Families’ Day - No admittance to the public)

Sunday – 16th June

No planned movement.

Monday – 17th June

Depart to Stewarts Lane with a Class 66 hauling Clan Line and Mercator.

Clan Line is standing in for No.70000 Britannia which was unavailable.

Thanks for the information.
I will go to Meadowhall South on Monday as it is due passed just after 0900.
