Afternoon all

I see London Northwestern Railway’s 350267 has been re-liveried.

I had thought at first glance that they had done a thorough job of it a la 350373 and I was quite impressed that they ere even bothering given that the /2s are not staying long, but on closer inspection all they have done is vinyled the ends (green like 373) and the doors, and removed all the LM vinyls leaving obvious marks where they were. They have left the grey vinyl areas round the windows (and the badly removed graffiti) and the result is an appalling mess. Sorry I didn’t get a picture.

Anyone know what this fudge is meant to be? Are all the 350s to be similarly treated to save money compared to a full relivery? It is very noticeable that no other units have been done in 350373 style.

If this is not the plan for the rest of the 350s then why bother doing the /2’s? The current LM with LNR branding looks far better than this!

As per the existing WMTrains livery thread, it seems to just be a temporary livery, much like the temporary orange liveries being applied to the 170s and 323s. The fleets being kept (350/1 and /3) look set to gain the full livery, 2 down 38 to go

Sorry, I did a search but couldn’t find reference to it. Mods feel free to remove this thread.

I still think it would be better to leave the livery alone than to do this though!!

350374 has also been vinyled. There is info on WMT Livery thread about the liveries and a listing of what's done etc.
